Program manager  – Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Severskiy I.V. Doctor of Geographical Sciences (GF No. 000158). Scientific supervisor of the Central Asian Regional Glaciological Center as a category 2 centre under the auspices of UNESCO. Work experience is over 50 years. Hirsch index 8. Scopus Author ID 6505867814, ORCID 0000-0001-6825-1285. Severskiy I.V. is a world-known scientist, under his leadership, research has been successfully carried out on dozens of projects in the frames of fundamental and applied research programs and more than 10 international projects with participation of scientists from Germany, France, England, China and neighboring countries of Central Asia. In the past 5 years, he has published 2 monographs and number of articles, including publications in Q 1 journals (the list is provided below).

During 2017-2022 academician I.V. Severskiy led the following programs:

1. «Evolution of glaciers and glacial systems of transboundary basins of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries of Central Asia as a basis for assessing current and forecasted changes in regional water resources». TFP (target financing program) contract №97 from 27.02.2017.

2. «Dynamics of the cryosphere in the zone of runoff formation in Balkash-Alakol basin as the basis for ensuring water security and long-term planning for the development of the water sector of the economy»; Grant Funding contract №105 from 27.02.2017.

3. «Ensuring the activities of the Central Asian Regional Glaciological Center under the auspices of UNESCO» . Contract with Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 235 from 23.04.2021.

4. «Snow-ice resources as the basis for the formation of water-resource potential in the transboundary Aral-Syrdarya basin». TFP (target financing program) contract №338 from 07.07.2021.
